Kindergarten Shape Paintings

Kindergarteners are finishing their shape painings this week. First, we talked about shapes and painted a square, rectangle, circle, and triangle with colored paint. Then, we stamped black lines and shapes onto our work using paper towel tubes and pieces of cardboard. Finally, this week we talked about the artwork of Joan Miro and looked for the "aliens" he makes out of shapes and lines in his work.

We made our own aliens using eye stickers and makers for the lines. Kindergarten drawings always impress me. Isn't this alient the CUTEST?!

I am adding some of these shape paintings to the gallery tonight, so be sure to check it out to see if your child's artwork is featured!
