2nd Grade
We have been studying Pop Art which is art that has subject matter that was chosen because of it's popularity. Artists like Andy Warhol and Wayne Theibaud both participated in the Pop Art movement. We looked at pictures of some of their food art and began drawing our own line drawings of food. Now, we are working on using those drawings in a printmaking assignment. It's getting very messy in the art room this week! Look for student examples of Pop Art printmaking in the coming weeks. For now, enjoy one of Andy Warhol's prints.
